Abstract The Huanren Pb-Zn ore deposit in Liaoning Province, abounding with rich lead, zinc, copper and iron, is recognized as skarn type. The orebodies are restricted to the skarn formed between Cambrian carbonate rocks and Yanshanian diorite complex. The metallogenic model is putted forward on the basis of regional geological setting, oreforming environment, orebody distribution and occurrence, physical and chemical conditions, etc. The study provides a theory basis for the metallogenic rules and deep prediction of ore body.
